Connecture and Deft Research to Host Webinar on Data Results and Insights from Medicare AEP 2018

BROOKFIELD, Wis. — January 18, 2018 – Connecture, Inc. (OTCQX: CNXR) and Deft Research will host a webinar titled, “AEP Deep Dive: Analytics to Action” on Wednesday, January 24 (12pm CT), where they will unveil a full analysis of data and key insights from the 2018 Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP).

The Medicare market continued its robust trajectory this past year. In fact, Connecture’s initial data from AEP 2018 showed total enrollments were up 17%, led by Part D prescription drug plans (PDP), which increased, on average, 40% from last year’s AEP. During the webinar, Connecture’s expert panel will discuss final numbers and trends from AEP, along with new research on shopping and engagement preferences among Medicare beneficiaries, including older baby boomers and the age-in population.

  • Matthew Leonard, Director of Medicare, Connecture: Matt hasspent over 15 years working in the Medicare space with insurance carriers in the Midwest. During this time, he helped launch Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Select, Part D and Med Supp plans in various states.

About Deft Research
The 2017 Medicare Shopping and Switching Study is the first report in Deft Research’s annual SENIOR MARKET INSIGHT SERVICE. The research examines the Medicare shopping process as it unfolds over the 8-week Annual Election Period. Data for this year’s study was collected in several unique ways including four bi-weekly quantitative diary surveys in which Medicare members were re-contacted in order to track their shopping behaviors over the entire AEP, as well as a post-AEP “capstone” survey. This research design helped illuminate what consumers did, when they did it, what influenced their decisions, and which past experiences predicted their behaviors. The study results are based on 7,612 online survey responses from seniors between the ages of 66-85.
