On the primary page, high-level plan information such as deductible, coinsurance, and doctor visit co-pay is highlighted, and it’s easy to view and compare the same information for multiple plans at once. Other options include searching for providers within a plan and viewing prescription coverage details.
  • Our subsidy qualification and calculation option takes the guesswork out of figuring the type of subsidy an individual consumer may expect to receive.
  • For employees weighing their options, the employer contribution calculation tool reveals how much of the premium their employer – or, for those holding multiple jobs, each employer – will contribute toward a given plan.
  • Plan filtering narrows the search to focus only on the plans that include desired features. Filters may include employee costs, plan type, deductible, co-pay, co-insurance, and provider inclusion.
  • Plan Advisor helps customers find a plan they can feel comfortable with by posing simple questions, and displaying the plans that best meet their needs and eligibility. Conversational Plan Advisor uses enhanced functionality to accomplish the same goal, while building rapport through a richer multimedia experience.
    • On-screen help buttons get consumers past definition roadblocks, explaining unfamiliar health insurance jargon.
  • The Out-of-Pocket Cost Calculator, Rx Look-up, and Physician Finder options allow the customer to research and compare important plan details and find a plan that is a true fit to their healthcare needs.
  • The ability to view and research ancillary products available with various plans (e.g., wellness and dental coverage) helps consumers craft the package that’s right for them.
  • Click-to-chat, click-to-call, and co-browsing are user-friendly customer assistance tools that connect the customer to a call center representative and help increase the number of people who are able to complete the shopping and enrollment processes.

Navigators and brokers

Some individuals, groups, and employees will have navigators or brokers to guide them throughout the shopping and enrollment processes, and these facilitators will need access to plan comparison functionality plus account management functionality to be effective. StateAdvantage has separate facilitator tools for this purpose.

  • The easier it is for brokers and navigators to research, quote, and explain plans, the better they’ll be able to meet customer needs. StateAdvantage provides anywhere, anytime accessibility and functionality via a dedicated Web portal that enables brokers and navigators to operate as easily at a customer’s dining room table as from their office.
  • Electronic signature pads allow brokers and navigators to capture and submit legally binding client signatures in the field to ease and expedite the application process.
  • Connecture can create branded microsites and landing pages that leverage Plan Advisor, Quoting, and Enrollment, among many other functionality options. Navigators and brokers can offer compelling quotes and plan proposals easily across multiple targeted sites.
  • Kiosk capability means that StateAdvantage could be running at public access points such as community centers or libraries.
